This summer, we’re honoring our roots by bringing back a recipe that blends tradition, celebration, and simple, real ingredients. This flavorful pulled pork dish first appeared during the days of Real Foods Market, now Redmond Marketplace. It’s hearty, nourishing, and perfect for sharing at any summer celebration.
Ingredients:
- 3 lbs. Redmond Farms Pastured Pork Roast
- 2 cups Organic Apple Juice
- 2 cups GT’s Kombucha – Original Organic
- 1 Organic Onion
- 2 tsp. Real Salt Garlic Salt
- ½ tsp. Organic Black Pepper
- 1 Tbsp. Coconut Oil
Instructions:
- Season pork with garlic salt and black pepper. Sear roast on a hot pan with coconut oil.
- Place seared pork in a slow cooker or braising pan. Add apple juice, kombucha, and coarsely chopped onion. Cook on low heat for at least 6 hours.
- Once tender, shred the meat into bite-sized pieces.
- Drizzle a cup of the leftover liquid over the shredded pork and serve hot.
