This warm, salted honey caramel dip is perfect for apple slices or your favorite fruits. It’s rich, creamy, and just the right balance of sweet and salty for a cozy treat!
Makes about 1½ cups
Ingredients:
- 5–6 small crisp apples (for dipping)
- 1½ cups Redmond Raw Honey
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 Tbsp. grass-fed butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. Redmond Real Salt Kosher or Fine, plus extra for sprinkling
Supplies:
- Medium saucepan
- Wooden spoon
- Measuring cups & spoons
- Knife
- Cutting board
Directions:
- In a medium saucepan, combine the honey and heavy cream. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Boil for about 5–6 minutes, keeping an eye on it to prevent it from boiling over. This will thicken the caramel slightly.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the butter, vanilla extract, and a teaspoon of Real Salt. Mix until smooth and fully combined.
- Let the caramel cool to a warm, dippable consistency. If it starts to thicken too much, gently reheat it and stir in a splash of cream to thin.
- Serve the warm caramel dip with freshly sliced apple wedges. For extra flavor, sprinkle a little more Real Salt Kosher on top!
