Ingredients:

  • 5–6 small crisp apples (for dipping)

  • 1 tsp. Redmond Real Salt Kosher or Fine, plus extra for sprinkling

Caramel Apples Dip

Supplies:

  • Medium saucepan
  • Wooden spoon
  • Measuring cups & spoons
  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Directions:

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the honey and heavy cream. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Boil for about 5–6 minutes, keeping an eye on it to prevent it from boiling over. This will thicken the caramel slightly.
  2. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the butter, vanilla extract, and a teaspoon of Real Salt. Mix until smooth and fully combined.
  3. Let the caramel cool to a warm, dippable consistency. If it starts to thicken too much, gently reheat it and stir in a splash of cream to thin.
  4. Serve the warm caramel dip with freshly sliced apple wedges. For extra flavor, sprinkle a little more Real Salt Kosher on top!
